If you're not used to exercising, I highly suggest that you start slowly and then build up. For the first few weeks you may want to start going for a morning walk for 30 minutes, then after those few weeks you may want to go for a daily swim. Then eventually you may want to walk to your local swimming pool, have a swim, then jog home! It's very important that you don't do any injury during exercise that's why I suggested starting within something that's not as likely to cause injury.
